What is the e-CD for Indonesia?

In this declaration, you’ll need to indicate that you’re not bringing any prohibited items into the country, provide information about you and your family members (if they’re travelling with you) and register your electronic devices if you plan to spend more than 3 months in Bali.

Why is the e-CD necessary to enter Bali?

At Indonesian airports, all travellers arriving in the country are asked to fill out a customs declaration form, and Bali is no exception. You can do it online in advance and avoid wasting time at the airport. Completing the e-CD is important for:

The e-CD form will ask you to provide details, including personal information and a goods declaration. If you’re travelling with family, you only need to submit one declaration for all family members.

Obtain your QR code

Once your form is completed, you’ll receive a QR code. This code serves as confirmation of your submission and must be kept handy. You can download it or take a screenshot, and it’ll also be sent to your email. When you land in Bali (or anywhere in Indonesia), the customs officers will scan your QR code at the customs checkpoint. SATUSEHAT Health Pass

Before arriving in Bali, you’re required to submit the SATUSEHAT Health Pass (SSHP). This form can be filled out online. You’ll need to provide your personal data and indicate if you’ve got any symptoms of illness, such as fever, cough, etc.

It’s also necessary to include if you’ve had any contact with a person who has symptoms of monkeypox. Upon submitting this form, you’ll receive a QR code. This code is necessary to pass border control.

Note that the Health Pass is separate from the e-CD, but must be completed as well for entry into Bali.

Tourist tax (tourism levy)

In 2024, tourist tax for Bali was introduced, which must be paid by all tourists upon each visit to Bali. This tax applies to both adults and children. To pay this tourist levy, you’ll need to submit an online form, providing your personal and travel details.

After pay the Tourist Levy, you’ll receive an email with a QR code. Save this QR to show at the checkpoints upon your arrival.
